Reconsidering Bouts.

Taking the work of Dieric Bouts as Nele Boudry’s point of departure, she observes and reinterprets his imagery with openness and empathy. His technical mastery challenged her own, leading her to paint on wood, using rabbit-skin glue and marble dust as a ground. Layer by layer, form, colour, and thought revealed themselves, an act of careful contemplation that bridges centuries.
